Hello all.
My name is Brian Kenna.
As a boy growing up in Australia,we where somewhat bereft our own cultural heritage.
Britain and America seem to have hold over all the images we saw on TV and especially the cinema.
With the resurgence of…or maybe renaissance of the Australian Film Industry in the early Seventies we started to find our own voice and sense of place in the world.
I loved reading about David and his somewhat idiosyncratic view of film-making.
His love of books and classical music….and of course sleeping on the set during lighting set ups…( particularly his time on “YENTL” with Ms Streisand).
I am coming to Britain soon from Australia….I would dearly love to meet up with those who knew and more importantly loved David.
Yours sincerely
Brian Kenna.
